ADHD. Dyslexia. Reading and Math difficulties. The worlds of school and work can be complicated for individuals struggling one or more of these areas. If you or a family member have – or think you might have - ADHD or a learning disorder, you’ve come to the right place. If you are an educational or health professional looking ways to help your students or patients, you’ve also come to the right place.
The Mind Games Solution is based on extensive research and cutting edge technology. Researchers now agree that ADHD and learning disorders (Dyslexia) are not by themselves medical or mental health conditions, rather physiological differences in brain structure that affect a person’s ability to self-regulate behavior and/or behavior (ADHD) or process written and/or spoken words and symbols (Dyslexia). These processing irregularities result in academic or vocational performance deficits relative to the person’s ability.
The Mind Games Solution, therefore, works “from the inside out” by training the brain to process more efficiently and “from the outside in” by reinforcing essential skills for success at school or work.
The goal of Mind Games is long-term academic and vocational performance improvement. The Mind Games Solution for children and adolescents is a 12 month program encompassing a full academic year plus summer vacation. For adults, the program is more intense and lasts six months. The Mind Games Solution includes:
Testing and Assessment
Mind Games offers a free basic ADHD assessment and free reading and math screening. Click here for more information about assessment and testing.
Neurofeedback
The Mind Games Solution provides between 30 to 50 hours of neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) for each client. Sessions run from 30 minutes for our younger clients up to one hour for older adolescents and adults. Younger clients typically schedule two sessions per week for the school year. Adult clients are encouraged to schedule as many as four sessions per week. Click here for more information about neurofeedback.
Coaching
Academic coaching is provided for K-12 and university students. Elementary students follow specific curricula in basic math, language, and reading along with homework help and working memory exercises. Middle school and high school students get help on homework, test strategies, reading comprehension, and time and task management. University students are assigned a coach – typically a graduate student - who contacts them daily during the semester. Vocational and/or life skills coaching are optional for adults. Click here for more information about academic coaching.
Measurement
Mind Games continually monitors and evaluates each client’s progress based on their own objectives, performance in school or at work, and changes in brain wave activity.
Fees
Mind Games charges a single, all-inclusive annual program fee payable in advance or by monthly bank draft. Click here for more information about our fees.
